Sheri’s Journal

I’ve lived a wild life. Looking back it’s hard to believe all the adventures, valleys, mountains, deserts, highs, and lows.

I’m not sure why I think writing is a good idea. Who will read what I write? Am I worth watching? I don’t know the answer but I feel compelled to do it.

Patchwork Quilts – my grandmother, Alberta, made them with old clothing, sheets, and fabric. I loved the doll quilts and pillows she made out of my father’s clothes when he was a boy, my uncles and aunts clothes, and random pieces. Great grandma Elizabeth had a quilt frame in her living room where she hand stiched the pieces together to make beautiful quilts for newly weds and babies in the family. I remember going to her home and the tv was blaring with the sound of soap operas.

Life is like a box of chocolates and life is like a patchwork quilt. Pieces representing stories of the past, the excitement and challenges of the present, and the hopes and fears of the future. The Good Lord planned the design and order of our life and the pieces come together one at a time, with Him already knowing what the final product will look like.

I can’t guarantee a map to the blogs I’ll write. Inspirition is my goal with the Lord as my pattern.

While there will be randomness, there will also be structure. The topics of that fill my life and will fill this blog and podcast are listed below. Read and watch as you fee led. Comment constructively but keep the negative to yourself. I’m sorry to say, but stress is not something I can include in my life. I battle tremors and stress contributes to me having them. So, be nice. If you can’t be then please go elsewhere, there are 1000s of blogs and podcast that thrive on drama. But, I hope you will stay and maybe try a new way….
