Hollow de Log is a cat that my family took in when he was
two weeks old. He was a tumbling ball of yellow fur that could barely walk and
could hardly see. Our neighbor found him alone in a hollow log. They waited two days to see if his mother would return for him. After finding that he was truly alone the neighbors brought him to us. We gratefully accepted the little orphan kitten whom we quickly grew to love.

We bottle
fed him, loved him, cared for him, and finally taught him to drink from a bowl after much awkward trying on our part. With being raised by us and have probably never seen another cat in his life, he became quite strange.

Hollow formed strange habits like sitting
at the table, pulling his food out of the bowl with his paws and then eating
it, standing in his water, sleeping on his back, sleeping with his legs twisted
one way and the rest of him the other, sleeping with his back legs straight out
behind him, and this is just part of the long list of strange things he does.

Sometimes people are judged or excluded from others because
they are like Hollow, they are different. You may see someone as different but
maybe you seem different to them. The truth is that we are all different, no one is
the same. So, to one person someone may seem strange or different, but you are
different also.

So, what if they are different?
Just because they are, does not
mean you have to avoid them

The Bible says what we are supposed to be like

Maybe you are the one that they say is different, avoided,
and judged. It’s okay, as Christens we are supposed to be different from the
world and we want to be different than the world because we are not of this world,
this is not our home, we are citizens of heaven. So, let them see that you are different, let the whole world know that you are a “Hollow”.

But if you find that your personality is in sin and that
you are different because of your sin, as the Bible says:

We must change if our
personality revolves around sin. That is not our true personality because
God has a plan for us and it’s not to revolve around sin.
