Jose Leme Wins Round 1 in Nampa, ID PBR

PBR’s Jose Vitor Leme wins Round 1 at DEWALT Guaranteed Tough Invitational 
in Nampa, Idaho.
Round one in Nampa, 2017 PBR Rookie of the Year Jose
Vitor Leme (Ribas Do Rio Pardo, Brazil) moved to No. 2 in the PBR
(Professional Bull Riders) world standings after winning Round 1 of The 25th PBR:
Unleash The Beast, DEWALT Guaranteed Tough Invitational, presented by Cooper
Tires, Saturday night at the Ford Idaho Center.
Leme claimed his 12th round win of the season
atop Whiskey Bent (Wentz Bucking Bulls/New West Rodeos) for 88.5
points during the last regular event in the 2018 season.
Leme is sitting 1,920 points back from world leader Kaique
Pacheco.
Leme collected 100 world points for the Saturday night round
win.

Also on a quest is young gun Cody Jesus (Window
Rock, AZ), who is attempting to qualify for his first-ever PBR World Finals.
With his second-place finish, he moved from No. 39 to No. 38 in the world after
his 88-point ride aboard Homegrown (Eno Bucking Bulls). Jesus earned
60 world points.
Former PRCA world champion Cody Teel from Texas finished
third and continues to hold on strong to the No. 8 spot in the world standings
after riding Mortimer (Julio Moreno/Dallas Schott) for 87.5 points.
Teel earned 50 world points for his efforts.

After returning to competition just two weekends ago, Chase
Outlaw, Arkansas, brought the Idaho crowd to its feet as he made it known that
he came to Nampa to win. Moving from No. 61 in the world standings to No. 58,
he made the 8 aboard Redneck(Harrison/Swearingen/Dallas Schott) for 87.25
points. Outlaw earned 40 world points for his efforts and continues to climb
back from an almost-season ending injury.

Rounding out the Top 5 in Round 1 was the man that leads the
chase for the coveted World Champion title, Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba,
Brazil). In one of the last remaining rides of the night, Pacheco
conquered Buck Nasty (Foley Bucking Bulls) to further his
stranglehold on the No. 1 spot in the world standings and earning him 30 world
points.

The best bull riders in the world will return to the Ford
Idaho Center on Sunday, October 21 for Round 2 and the championship round of
the DEWALT Guaranteed Tough Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires.
Championship Sunday will air on CBS Sports Network at 6
p.m. ET and will be streamed live on Ridepass.com and the RidePass mobile app. Replays from
Round 1 will be available starting at 8 a.m. ET on Sunday, October
21.
